triSearch CEO Chris Gibbs

Leading Australian technology company triSearch announced Chris Gibbs has been named its new CEO.

Mr Gibbs takes over from former CEO, Taylah Allen, who announced her move in November last year to pursue other career opportunities overseas after helping launch triSearch in 2018.

triSearch has seen rapid growth since launching in 2018. Most recently, with the launch of award-winning conveyancing practice management software, triConvey, which has evolved triSearch to become one of the most popular conveyancing technology companies in Australia.

Mr Gibbs joins triSearch executives National Operations Manager, Helvi Rossi, National Sales Manager, Mitchell Burge, and Marketing Manager, Matthew Tarabay.

Mr Tarabay is confident the entering Mr Gibbs will provide a unique perspective and is more than up to the task of steering triSearch towards success.

“We’re excited for Chris to join the triSearch family, bringing with him his wealth of knowledge and experience in tech,” Mr Tarabay said.

“Chris joins us from outside of the Conveyancing Technology industry and we know he will bring with him new ideas and a fresh perspective as we enter an exciting phase in the triSearch life cycle.”

Gibbs takes the helm

Chris brings more than three decades of strategic leadership experience which will be invaluable to the ongoing growth and success of triSearch.

His background of proven excellence in Sales and Marketing Strategy, Software-as-a-Service, and Cloud Computing Services within telecommunications, banking and finance, retail and more, is a welcomed addition for triSearch.

Mr Tarabay believes that combining Mr Gibbs’ extensive leadership experience and the recent triSearch market growth is the strategic decision needed to continue the company’s upward trajectory.

“triSearch has seen exceptional growth since our inception in 2018, gaining a major market share in the last five years,” he said.

“The next challenge is finding ways to continue this momentum and we know Chris is the right person to drive growth at triSearch, ensuring we never stay stagnant or get complacent.”

Excited for the new challenge, Mr Gibbs said he’s looking forward to the potential “hypergrowth” triSearch can achieve.

“I’m thrilled for the opportunity that now sits in front of me. Our team at triSearch have the chance to make a big difference and there’s no reason why we shouldn’t be able to see an opportunity for hypergrowth in our business here in Australia,” Mr Gibbs said.

Eyes on transformational opportunity

With a career of proven history of transforming small, medium, and large enterprises into highly successful businesses, Mr Gibbs saw the opportunity to start with triSearch as an “opportunity of a lifetime”.

“There’s a unique opportunity to transform an Australian company with tremendous potential domestically and internationally,” he said.

“Throughout my years in leadership I’ve learned that if you have a group of people who believe they can make a difference and are passionate about where they work, anything is possible. So, this is an opportunity of a lifetime for me.”

Mr Gibbs’ also brings his enthusiasm for questioning the status quo to inspire innovation and opportunity for large scale growth opportunities.

He added: “After my years of experience I have this expression that no one has a mortgage on a good idea.

“Everyone here has a genuine obsession with customer success and the executive team I’ll be joining at triSearch are constantly questioning their processes and thinking of ways to become more efficient. They have a bias for action, and that’s what I’m going to love about my time here at triSearch.”

Mr Gibbs said his decision to leave his role as Australian, New Zealand Managing Director of content delivery network, cybersecurity, and cloud service company, Akamai Technologies was difficult, but necessary to achieve the next step in his career.

“Akamai Technologies is a great company with a great set of people and great customers,” he explained.

“I look forward to using the culmination of many years of working with technology businesses and being fortunate to grow with some of the biggest brands, inspirational teams and fantastic customers, to build something incredible at triSearch.”
